Abstract:
This research aims to explore the psychological implications of the prayer and its relationship with some variables such as: academic performance, location of the faculty, gender and academic level among the student enrolled in the faculties of education in the Gezira University. The researcher used a descriptive method. The study covered student batch 32 in the facultis of education in Hantoub, Hassaheissa, and Alkamlin. Stratified random sample of 460 students was chosen from the population. The instrument of data collection used in this study is a questionnaire designed by the researcher. The following tests were used to analyze the data: Friedman test, Pearson test, Tukey test and MANOVA.The results of this research can be presented as follows: The psychological implications of the prayers among the students enrolled in the faculties of education in Gezira University are not statistically significant. There is no statistical significant correlation coefficient between the dimension of the psychological implications of prayers and the degree of commitment among students. The psychological implications dimensions of prayers were significantly different among students. There was a significant positive correlation between the dimension of the psychological implications of prayers and academic performance. There is a significant difference in the implications of prayers according to student gender in favor of females. There is a significant difference in the implications of prayers according to the location of the faculty (Hantoub, Hassaheissa, and Alkamlin). The researcher made many recommendations, including satisfying the spiritual aspect of students through right teachings of prayers. The researcher gave many recommendations including satisfying the spiritual aspect through abiding to the right provisions of doing prayers by students, in addition to letting students know the importance of the various aspects of doing prayer that lead to mental and physical health, and letting students know what prayer can benefit them with such qualities as patience and the strength and the necessity of adding these concepts to the curriculums of general education.
